Our Mission
Bread Breakers (SG) is dedicated to facilitating direct, verified, and transparent aid to individuals and families in need in Singapore. We connect specific, verified needs with willing donors and manage the procurement and delivery of essential items.
Definitions
"We," "Us," "Our": Refers to "Bread Breakers (SG)."
"Services": Refers to our website, online platform, aid coordination, procurement, and delivery initiatives.
"User," "You," "Your": Refers to any individual accessing or using our Services, including beneficiaries, donors, volunteers, and social workers.
"Beneficiary": An individual or family identified by a Social Worker Partner as requiring aid.
"Donor": An individual or entity making a financial contribution to Bread Breakers (SG).
"Partner": A trusted volunteer who assists in sourcing, purchasing, and delivering items.
"Social Worker": A qualified social worker from a registered agency who identifies and verifies beneficiary needs.
User Responsibilities and Conduct
By using our Services, you agree to:
- Provide Accurate Information: All information you provide to us (e.g., personal details, donation amounts, aid requests) must be accurate, complete, and truthful.
- Act with Integrity: Engage with "Bread Breakers (SG)" and its community respectfully and ethically.
- Adhere to Policies: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Singapore, as well as our Data Management Policy and any specific guidelines for beneficiaries, donors, volunteers, or social workers.
- Respect Privacy: Not to misuse any personal data accessed through our Services.
- No Misrepresentation: Not to misrepresent your identity or your needs (for social workers) or misrepresent our organisation (for volunteers/partners).
Social Workers
- You provide consent for personal data to be shared with Bread Breakers (SG) for the purpose of receiving aid for your clients.
- Aid is provided based on verified needs and available resources. We cannot guarantee the fulfillment of every request. You agree to receive items directly at your designated address.
Donors
- All donations are made voluntarily.
- Donations to "Bread Breakers (SG)" are currently not tax-deductible as we are not an Institution of a Public Character (IPC).
- You acknowledge that funds will be used to procure specified items for verified beneficiaries and for the operational costs of Bread Breakers (SG).
- All payment transactions are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective payment gateway providers.
Partners
Operational Conduct
- You agree to deliver items directly to the addresses as instructed by the social worker.
- You agree to abide by our procurement guidelines, including sourcing specific items and adhering to budget limits.
- Should any declaration or disclosure you have provided become inaccurate, you will undertake to notify Bread Breakers (SG) as soon as possible.
Data & Financial Integrity
- You must handle funds provided for procurement responsibly and submit supporting documents for all expenditures.
- You agree to handle all beneficiary personal data with strict confidentiality in accordance with our Data Management Policy.
- You understand that Bread Breakers (SG) may conduct periodic audits to verify the legitimacy of claims. Any suspected fraudulent, false, or improper claims may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Legal Agreement
- You or Bread Breakers (SG) may terminate your appointment by providing written notice to the other party.
- You agree that the office bearers and members of Bread Breakers (SG) shall not be held liable for any loss, damages, expenses, accidents, or injuries (including death) incurred in connection with your participation as a volunteer. You agree to hold harmless and fully indemnify Bread Breakers (SG) against such liability.
Limitation of Liability
"Bread Breakers (SG)" provides its Services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our Services, except where prohibited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless "Bread Breakers (SG)" and its Office Bearers and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of our Services or your breach of these Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including (but not limited to) breach of these Terms, misconduct, or legal/regulatory non-compliance.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
